What does Security Administration do?
The Security Administration is a process for Security Administrator from each agency to verify that its employees are still employed and are authorized to perform Employer duties in Employer Services website.
Why are you doing this?
We want to ensure that only authorized users can access the Employer Services website. If an employee has left the agency, we need to terminate Employer access immediately for security reasons.
When is it due?
The Security Review is due twice a year. The first half of the review is from 1/1 to 6/30 with the due date of 6/30, and second half of the review is from 7/1-12/31 with the due date of 12/31.
What if I did not submit by due date?
Failure to provide the required verification (or to maintain an accurate list of authorized users) may result in the loss of access to the Employer Services website and may substantially delay the processing of SERS benefit claims.
Will I get a reminder?
Yes, you will get an email reminder to your work email address 30 days and 2 weeks before the due date. You can login to Employer Services website to check if you have a work email address on file. If none is listed, please provide one so you can be notified.
What happens after I select “Remove” for an employee?
Once you select “Remove” for an employee and submit the review, the access to the Employer Services website will be removed immediately.
I clicked on “Remove” by mistake. How do I fix it?
If you make a mistake within the same certification period, you can fix it by clicking on “Keep” and resubmit the review. Once you do that, the privilege will be restored. If you did not discover the mistake until the next certification period, then you will have to contact SRS Field Services to have the privilege restored.
An employee left after I certified for the semi-annual period. What do I do?
You can log back into the Employer Services website, select “Remove” for the employee and resubmit the review. This will terminate the employee’s privilege immediately.
A new employee started after I certified for the semi-annual period. What do I do?
You can log back into the Employer Services website, select “Keep” and resubmit the review. The new employee will then be certified.
The listed employee has incorrect contact type listed. How do I fix it?
If the employee has incorrect contact type listed. Please contact SRS Field Services.
What if the employee belongs to shared services and responsible for multiple agencies?
If the employee is responsible for multiple agencies, each agency will have to certify the employee should still have access for its respective agency. If the employee left, each agency would have to “Remove” the employee for the privilege to be removed completely.
