What if I have no idea where to start?

What if I don't have an email address?
There are several email providers who offer free email accounts. These are commercial providers who are not affiliated with the State of Illinois, and email messages are not stored in State of Illinois systems.

- Microsoft Live Hotmail: https://outlook.live.com/owa
What if I don't have a mobile phone?
If you're a new user: When the Set up security methods screen appears, select the Phone option, then select Voice Call and enter your landline phone number. For short steps, set up an ILogin account as shown in How To Guides: Setup an ILogin Account.
If you're an existing user: Sign in to your ILogin account. Follow the short steps in How to Guides: Everyday ILogin Steps In the Change Your ILogin Profile section, select the Phone option's Set up button, select Voice Call and enter your landline phone number.
What if I get an ILogin Application Denied error?
This happens when you did not sign out your Member Services account previously. Follow instructions below to clear your browser cache and history and try to login again:
What else do I need to do after conversion?
- If you have bookmarked Member Services web address in your browser, please update the web address to point to: Member.srs.illinois.gov.
Can I still use Public ID to sign in to Member Services website?
Sign-in using Public ID if you meet the following criteria:
- If you have an existing Public ID with SRS AND
- If you have NOT received a conversion letter from SRS.
- If you are an existing Public ID user but do not have an activation code, you can request one at https://member.srs.illinois.gov/PublicAccess/ActivationCode/RequestCode
If you haven't received a letter from SRS and have an existing Public Portal account, you can still log in through the Illinois Public Portal until you receive a letter from SRS.
